For 3 consecutive years I competed for Colorado State’s Track and Field team. As an athlete who walked onto the team, I had to fight for my spot each and every day. The possibility of getting cut was constantly looming over me at practice. Each day I had to show my worth under pressure of being cut at any time. The aspects I focused on showing included leadership, a hard work ethic, and being respectful towards my teammates or coaches. I am the kind of person who takes great pride in their work, working hard to improve my skills and experiences is just something I do.
