I am a partner in the Austin office of Jackson Walker. My practice is focused is on healthcare litigation and administrative cases, with an emphasis on long term care facilities and home health agencies. My work has focused on license revocation appeals, appeals of Medicare/Medicaid terminations, appeals of state and federal civil monetary penalties, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement matters. I started at Jackson Walker as an associate in the litigation section. My litigation experience has been heavy on insurance defense, especially prompt pay defense lawsuits and arbitration, real estate and construction litigation, and collections cases. I also have demonstrated experience in advising manufactured home communities on landlord/tenant issues. In addition to my healthcare work, I still maintain a healthy docket of traditional litigation matters.For several years, I expanded my case work into the bankruptcy section of Jackson Walker, working extensively with very experienced partners in learning the ropes of the bankruptcy bar. My bankruptcy experience has primarily involved representation of banks, corporations, individuals and other creditors with claims against the debtor, in order to pursue workout/restructuring, collateral recovery, or claims litigation. In addition, I have handled numerous matters regarding the protection or production of commercially sensitive and trade secret information under State and Federal public information laws.
