During my work day at North Broad Youth Center, I help manage the students by engaging them in different activities that help them develop much needed social and academic skills. Along with the following task, I also prep food for the kids. We are provided food for the students from a local college, while I am at work, I help reheat and serve the food to the students. Finally my last role at my work site is to help maintain the work space. During this time I clean the kitchen area, wipe down the tapes in the student learning area, and finally sweep and pick up any remaining trash in the student area.

While working with the Berry College Bonner Scholars Program I work with different community partners to help grow diversity and belonging through out the Rome/Floyd area. Not only do I participate in 140 community service hours a semester, butI also set up different cultural events for the Berry community, and lead different meetings to help keep the freshman class and other Bonners connected with what is going on in the community.
