Hi! My name is Jackson Cobb and I am a recent graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Human Resource Management and a minor in German. I moved to Milwaukee post-graduation to pursue an MBA at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I chose to have a career in business because I always enjoyed collaborating with my peers to accomplish a common goal. I also have found the act of innovating and adapting to new problems very rewarding. I have enjoyed learning my entire life, and I have found that HR is a constantly evolving process that requires a lifetime of learning and adaptation.I prefer to stay busy, so I have always enjoyed fast-paced work environments, like at my internships at Baxter & Woodman and Scot Forge. At Baxter & Woodman, I learned a lot about job forecasting and client relations. I also strengthened my organizational and time management skills whilst working at Scot Forge. In addition, I learned about the importance of keeping sensitive information confidential, as interns at Scot Forge are trusted to work alongside both the HR and Accounting departments. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, and going on road trips. Having co-founded a nature club at ISU, I understand the importance of both teamwork and effective leadership. When I am not doing anything outdoors-related, I enjoy spending time with my friends and my cat, whom I found living under a dumpster behind my college apartment.
