Jackson is a current 2L Juris Doctor candidate at Penn State. He is involved in Phi Alpha Delta, Phi Delta Phi, the Corporate Law Society, First Generation Law Student Association, and functions as the President of the Intellectual Property Law Association. In the future, Jackson hopes to work in Patent Prosecution.In addition to attending law school, Jackson works various jobs related to intellectual property. Jackson works in the United State Patent and Trademark Office under the guidance of a patent examiner in reviewing patents. In the Office of Technology Management at Penn State, he also evaluates inventions proposed by researchers for patentability and marketability. Starting in the fall he will also function as a research assistant in the Intellectual Property Clinic where he will aid in the prosecution of patent applications.Jackson previously graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Through his education, he is comfortable with a plethora of applications ranging from COMSOL to Solidworks, and MATLAB. In his time studying, he has also taken the opportunity to become a tutor, where he communicates with students from a multitude of backgrounds to aid them in mathematical processes from algebra to calculus 2. Recently he had the opportunity to intern at DL Martin, where he learned about engineering research, design, and modeling processes. In the future, Jackson hopes to expand his knowledge to that of the law field. He hopes to pursue a law degree after graduating in the coming year and pursue patent law.
