I'm a freshman, 19 year old GIS major at Salisbury University. I have been a student athlete my entire academic career, participating in sports like track, martial arts, cross country, and volleyball. I'm interested in pursuing a career related to the GIS field in the future since I have been interested in maps since I was a kid. I took four classes of GIS work my senior year of highschool, two of which being part of the course material at harrisburg university. I am currently taking more classes in the Geography major and would love to keep pursuing that path. I have a little over three years of prior work experience at a martial arts studio as an Instructor in teaching self defense. There I was able to learn leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, and how to continue to learn in the work environment.
