Hello, I am Jackson Hansen. I am future college student that graduated from Crimson Cliffs High school where I participate in different business and college courses. Throughout my years of school, I have always taken the honor courses and the harder path where I have succeeded with a 3.98 GPA.Growing up I always played basketball and through hard work, I reached my goal of making the high school team. This was a great experience because I was able to learn how to work with others while, following instructions. After moving to St. George I decided to work instead of basketball and I do not regret it.I currently am working for Taylor’s boats, which has been a dream of mine now for more than a year. I have a deep passion for boats and having fun on the water with family and friends. I am looking forward to my future in the workforce.

Upon moving to St. George going into my Junior year, I required a new job. Dicks was appealing to me because of the sports environment and the magnitude and success of the company. Throughout this job, I served as a Team Sports Associate and Bike Technician. St. George is the number one growing city in the nation and our store was the only sporting goods store, this meant being busy constantly. Day in and day out I was able to work with customers and gain experience on how to deal with them in a stressful moment or a more thought-out conversation. Working in the bike section was a good way to connect with customers more thoroughly and really spend time to sell or fix the product. On a day of building, I was able to build 8 bikes in one shift. It was a good experience in learning how to work with many people and a big corporation.

At the young age of 14 years old I had the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, stressful, and customer service-based job which taught me many skills. After one year of working, I was given the job/role of a "Team Lead". In the peak hours of summer, our business could have as many as 100 people come through in 45 minutes. This is a large number of shave ice that needs to be put out and customers to serve. As the Team Lead, I would have to help support my co-workers and push through the major rush while learning customer service skills. There were many customers who were not patient and learning how to deal with them was a good skill along with leading other workers. This was a great entry job for the age of 14-16 and I am grateful I was able to work this young.
