Summer Abroad Chemistry Research Project Researcher
Worked alongside the Heterogeneous Catalysis Group at the University of Glasgow, supervised by Professor Justin Hargreaves and Dr Angela Daisley. I focused on the study of potentially using metal nitrides as novel heterogeneous catalysts for the synthesis of ammonia through chemical looping processes by creating a cobalt copper metal nitride (Co3CuN) doped with varying levels of potassium to see the effect of doping in ammonia synthesis. I worked with multiple reactors, Powder X-Ray Diffraction instrumentation and data, and did CHN analysis on my catalyst samples.
