I'm fascinated by two things: people and cannabis. A Crohn's patient turned cannabis success story, I've spent the last decade obsessively trying to discover everything there is to know about the plant, humanity, and the uncountable places that they intersect.As a scientifically-minded individual, my evergreen curiosity is reflected by my broad educational background, which spans Anthropology, Neuroscience, and Economics. I engage with multiple lenses when trying to understand a new topic, because I believe deep understanding only emerges from a consilient perspective. I spent years in the retail cannabis sector in Washington State working with one of the most respected brands in the market: Dockside Cannabis. My roles there touched on sales, customer service, quality assessment, purchasing, and new store design, as well as data analysis, promo-building and brand strategy.In 2018 I made the jump to federally-legal markets when I accepted an offer to become a foundational member of Tilray's retail team, working with investment partners as well as Tilray's product and brand teams to improve their understandings of product, market, customer and culture. Following that team's dissolution in the face of COVID-19 related market uncertainty, I'm serving as a consultant to the industry, helping organizations domestic and international, large and small, better serve their customers through a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the plant and its potential.
