I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Saint Anselm College, with my research thesis investigating a potential correlation between participation in theatre programs and their benefits for personal well-being. While at Saint Anselm, I was a Resident Assistant for the Residential Life and Education Department for 3 years. Over the course of those 3 years, I engaged with residents to facilitate a positive and hospitable community for all grade levels of undergraduate college students. My duties included patrolling residents halls to ensure the safety and security of residents, meeting deadlines for community engagement through bulletin boards, and hosting events for residents with a wide range of topics, including education, culture, spirituality, and community service. Through this experience, I developed interpersonal skills like conflict management, active listening, and building cooperative relationships with residents and fellow Resident Assistants. I improved my ability to keep a level head in the face of adversity through managing breaches in policy and intense situations like hospital transports. I improved my time management by staying ahead of deadlines for both my Residential Life duties and obligations to my classwork.Since a young age, I have possessed a strong desire to help those around me in times of need. Assisting friends and loved ones has always been a source of great joy, and I actively strive to leave every person better than when I met them. Ultimately, I want to continue assisting those in need by entering the field of Mental Health Therapy.
