Working as a general contractor has taught me to have discipline and a strong work ethic. Having to perform strenuous labor such as paving for 8 to 12 hours in the heat 5 days a week is nothing short of dreadful and it instilled a strong sense of resiliency within myself. Another accomplishment that depicts perseverance was during my first year of college when I played for the varsity lacrosse team at Colorado Mesa University. I was not only part of a team that achieved an undefeated winning record, but I personally earned a 4.0 GPA that same semester as a Mechanical Engineering Technologies student. I have learned the importance of responsibility through working as a traffic controller where my co-workers are relying on me to make sure vehicles are not putting any workers in danger as well as ensuring the safety of pedestrians in construction zones. In my free time, I started my own automotive detailing business. My interest in vehicle modification inspired this idea to work for myself to determine my capabilities as an entrepreneur. A desire that has remained with me throughout my education as I am earning a minor in entrepreneurship at Colorado Mesa University. My detailing business started with basic car washing products and techniques and has continually grown each year since to where it is today as a profitable business with over $3000 in inventory and hundreds of hours of training and experience in modern detailing techniques. The idea to start this business was inspired by no one other than myself and the evolution ever since has been due to my dedication and motivation to succeed.

General ContractorJ & H Engineering General Contractor'S Inc. Jul 2017 - Jan 2024Camarillo, California, United StatesThe strenuous labor and long working hours taught me how to be resilient. I learned true responsibility by standing in the middle of streets to control two-way traffic in order to protect construction workers as well as pedestrians who are trying to navigate construction zones. I also learned how to coordinate with a team to maximize efficiency without compromising safety. -
Seasonal WorkerUps Dec 2020 - Jan 2021Camarillo, California, United StatesI worked one winter as a seasonal helper for UPS to aid in the greatly increased distribution of parcels at this time of the year. At a minimum, I ran five miles a day delivering packages to residential homes. This taught me how to be persistent as I was not just working for a paycheck, but to help the driver I was paired with by reducing their workload. We were able to work as a team to improve our efficiency daily by following procedures we found most effective. We were not only finished with our deliveries before the deadline every day of the week, but we actually earned the fastest delivery per unit in the entire county.
