I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavioral Sciences and a Minor in Education from the University of California, Davis. Since graduating in 2022, I have taught Special Education, managing a safe and inspiring environment for my students. My position has been to bridge an understanding of the curriculum and the social-emotional impact of the students’ day-to-day interactions. I have assisted students with their curriculum and SEL skills through hands-on instruction and opportunities for adaptive learning models. Through this experience, I have been able to discover new ways to integrate individual interests into the curriculum, engaging students and sparking the desire to learn from one another. I am a creative problem solver who is capable of creating engaging experiences combined with flexible teaching strategies in order to increase student interest and independence in their learning. My personal goals, methods, and insights have evolved through experience, but my ultimate purpose has always been to create a better foundational understanding of alternative solutions for students. I take great pride in my patience and my unwavering belief in all students, regardless of present challenges, helping them maximize their abilities and quality of life.
