I predict the thermodynamic properties of early actinide fluorides using advanced electronic structure methods. I use DFT to optimize molecular structures and predict their thermodynamic properties with high accuracy using CCSD(T).

Rigorous six-week program focused on teaching students the fundamentals of nuclear science sponsored by the Department of Energy. Learned how nuclear science is applied to fields of energy, medicine, and dating of materials. Included lab work where I handled radioactive materials and learned about techniques such as alpha spectroscopy, and gamma-spectroscopy and synthesized a radiopharmaceutical. Toured nuclear facilities such as Lawrence-Berkely National Lab, Lawrence-Livermore National Lab, and the Nuclear Medicine facility at UC San Francisco.
