Hello! My name is Jackson, I am a full-time student at the University of Southern California studying Applied and Computational Mathematics. I love solving problems with math, especially when developing new heuristics in related fields. My classical training in mathematics has given me a unique lens in problem solving and breaking down abstractions to their roots. I am actively looking for Full-Time roles and internships in California starting in Summer of 2025!Originally from Connecticut, I am inseparable from the ocean and sailing. During the summers, you'll always find me on the water or close to it. I sail and compete as a crew for USC's varsity sailing team and serve as the active social chair. It has been a great opportunity to network with other sailors and share our love for the sport.I enjoy collaborating with others and excel in environments that include a variety of people from different walks of life. I serve as Vice President of Special Events with Society 53, the governing board of the USC Student Alumni Society, and am ecstatic to work more with our amazing alumni and introduce new students to them. I am also a member of the USC Dornsife Ambassador Program, which gives me the opportunity to share all things that my program has to offer with prospective and newly admitted students. I am finishing off the semester as the Social Chair of the Phi Sigma Kappa - Omega Deuteron Chapter. This experience has taught me valuable skills in leadership and project management by collaborating with USC Panhellenic and the other social fraternities on campus to coordinate events. Operating with a 6-figure social budget this semester has substantially improved my business negotiation skills as well as my understanding of the time value of money.I am a proud Eagle Scout and love giving back to my community. The leadership and life skills that Scouts BSA taught me as a young adult are invaluable to me as I continue my journey through college and beginning my career.Would love to chat about anything related to Math, Sailing, USC and Dornsife, Physics, AI/ML, 3D Printing, Mechatronics, or anything else STEM related!
