In the summer of 2022, I was an intern at Barge Design Solutions Inc. At this engineering firm, I worked in the bridge business line. I gained insight on how to approach and progress through projects and any issues that may arise during the course of the projects life. I also gained more experience in the use of Bentley’s MicroStation while I drafted both sub and super structures of bridges.In the summer of 2023, I was an intern at Garver. At this engineering firm, I worked in the aviation business line. I saw the project management side of a project. I attended many meetings between project managers and their respective clients and witnessed the various steps in moving through a project. I also was introduced to AutoCAD while becoming familiar with the design of both runways and taxiways at general aviation airports.
