As an FYE leader, I am in charge of the Forum section of the program in which we foster insightful discussion, debate, and leadership opportunities for 25 freshmen. As leaders, we provide mentorship and stability for these motivated freshmen who want to expand their horizons.

Served two terms as an elected ASB Senator, where both years I served on the Infrastructure & Environmental Affairs Committee. My second term, I served as the appointed Chair of the committee. During my term as Senator, I was able to pass a Senate Resolution that affirmed our commitment to making any Greek housing 100% ADA accessible. I was also able to start the progress on a project with the city of Oxford to add street lighting to Oxford Way, a busy residential street in South Oxford where the majority was unlit and dangerous to drive at night.

After my tenure as President, I volunteered to be the Meet Director, because planning meets for the club was my favorite part of my presidency. As Meet Director, I am in charge of outreach to other teams, planning traveling, fundraising, registration, accommodation, and many other logistics for every meet. We have hosted a meet in Oxford, and attended meets in Columbus, OH, Athens, GA, Auburn, AL (twice), Clemson, SC, and more locations across the Southeast.

I came to the University of Mississippi knowing that swimming was not popular, and the club only had about 5 active members. I knew I wanted to change that the second I joined. When I was elected president in March of my freshman year, I hit the ground running. Through intense recruitment efforts and hard teamwork with my new executive board, we went from 8 registered members in March, to 50 in September. Throughout my tenure, we continued to grow, and when I ended my second term in January 2024, we had over 100 members in our GroupMe and over 75 registered members. We went from bringing 8 swimmers to one meet a year my freshman year, to bringing at least 20 to at least two meets every year of my tenure, including College Club Swimming Nationals.

I was elected to and sat on the highest and most prestigious athlete committee in USA Swimming for a two year time and had direct impact on multiple pieces of passed legislation in the USA-S House of Delegates. Also served on the Programming and Events Task Force, where we planned the Athlete programming of the annual USA-S Workshop and served as a leader for many upcoming athlete leaders.

I served as the Senior Athlete Representative for Southeastern Swimming, overseeing Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle—a region with over 15,000 registered swimmers, ranking as USA Swimming's second largest by land area.As co-founder of the Southeastern Swimming Athletes' Committee, I prioritized enhancing athlete engagement. This involved advocating for athlete interests at the USA Swimming House of Delegates, expanding our social media presence to become one of the largest nationwide, and orchestrating events throughout the LSC to foster unity among athletes. These events also provided valuable insights into collegiate sports participation, sports management, and leadership opportunities.

As a member of this committee, we worked to breach the gap between struggling and smaller LSC's and USA Swimming's countless resources for growth, athlete engagement, and board development. We worked closely with athlete representatives and engaged board members in these LSCs to help them achieve their goals and maximize benefits from the resources provided for them.
