I was in charge of Power Management as part of the Integration/Verification team during a 16 week course where the entire class designed and taped out a 1mm^2 chip with a CPU, Bluetooth low energy (BLE) compatibility, and advanced encryption standard (AES). This chip has been sent out to be fabricated as well.Being in charge of Power Management, I designed and completed layout for analog and digital low dropout regulators (LDOs), an analog current reference, and a power grid spanning the chip. I also took on a more managerial role in collecting subcircuit designs, coordinating with team members, and debugging all designs at the top level of the chip.

As part of my Masters thesis, I wrote a script in Python using an infrastructure called the Berkeley Analog Generator (BAG) to generate a design for a low dropout series regulator (LDO) with a simple 5-transistor amplifier in any transistor process technology. Using this script, I was able to generate a new regulator for a Single Chip Micro Mote (SCμM) in under 2 minutes with a 95% reduction in average power consumption.

As the music director for this group, I ran weekly rehearsals with more than a dozen people where I taught the music we performed in a showcase at the end of each semester. I made sure each member of the group understood their part and had the tools to practice outside of rehearsal. Additionally, I volunteered my time outside of regular rehearsals to work on music with smaller groups for the same showcase.

For each lab section I ran, I gave a presentation each section on material relevant to the current lab assignments and taught students how to complete those assignments, in addition to teaching them skills in debugging circuits and code and how to use the available lab equipment, such as soldering irons and oscilloscopes. The course evaluation feedback I received afterward about my effectiveness and communication was overwhelmingly positive.
