Experienced Geotechnical Engineer with extensive technical and operational skills in Underground Mining, Open Pit Mining and Tailing Storage Facilities. Experienced across range of commodities (Copper, Gold, Nickel) and familiar with mining and quarrying regulations in Australian and United States Jurisdictions. Underground and Open Pit Mining Experience• Developed Geotechnical Domains based on Rock Mass Properties and Soil Conditions as well as Stereonet/Kinematic projection for input into Geotechnical Model.• Extensive Geotechnical Analysis and Numerical Modelling experience utilising: IDS Radar, RocScience Software Suite (Dips, Slide, RocFall, Swedge, RocPlane, RS2), Leapfrog, Sirovision Mapping Software, Map3D, Deswik, Vulcan, Quickslope Prism monitoring, Surpac, Piezometer monitoring, Crackmeter monitoring, InSAR Satellite Monitoring Data, Time-domain Reflectometer, QGIS.• Knowledge of Empirical Design methods including for stope and open pit design (Q system and Q' system, RMR, MRMR, GSI, modified Matthews Stability Open Stope Design, Crown Pillar Design, paste backfill design, stope reconciliation).• Management of IMS Seismic System including seismic analysis and planning system architecture and layout.• Monitoring and implementation of geotechnical QAQC systems for non-compliance and rectification; scheduling ground support audits outlined in QAQC management plan.• Development and Review of Ground Control Management Plan as well as development of Geotechnical Hazard Maps and TARPS.• Development of remediation and rehabilitation plans for geotechnical hazards.• Responsible for Ground Condition Reports and communication of ground control hazards to operational teams and stakeholders through site inspections and weekly toolbox presentations. • Responsible for monthly report and quarterly reports. Tailings Storage Facility Experience• Responsible for monitoring and reporting involving piezometers, InSAR Satellite monitoring, GNSS, CPT testing, PSD testing, monthly reporting and quarterly governance reports. • Experience in Development and Review of Operational and Monitoring Manuals as well as TARP’s for TSF’s. Provided ongoing risk management of TSF. • Knowledge of importance of maintaining records relating to design, construction and day to day operations of TSF.• Experience in GISTM and best practice operational processes.• Engagement with Engineer of Record to ensure all governance and compliance documentation (ANCOLD, ICOLD, ICMM) is maintained and DSR’s are carried out as per schedule/required.
