Editor-in-Chief of Home Rule Magazine- Launched an annual publication that chronicles Black music, history and culture in Washington, D.C. and in the world of Fire Music nationally- Managed a team of journalists, historians and academics to produce 7-14 articles per issue- Worked with the Creative Director, Publisher and Graphic Designer to develop the look, direction and layout of the magazine and assigned the articles to writers- Worked with the creative director to develop the theme and content of each issue- Edited articles for grammar, spelling, clarity and content- Sourced sponsors each issue based on content in order to fully fund the publication and pay the contributors Host and Producer of the Collector's Corner- Worked with president to launch a video podcast interviewing figures from the D.C. music scene and major players in the modern vinyl record industry- Booked a variety of guests to both promote the foundation's goals of preserving and celebrating Black music in Washington, D.C. as well as to exemplify the rich musical diversity of the region - Managed a production team of videographer and sound engineer each episode to coordinate the look, feel and sound of the show- Crafted interviews to create an engaging and insightful product Director of Programs- Co-led an Oral History Project - "Jazz at Westminster Presbyterian Church: The Lived Experiences of D.C. Musicians" - through a grant with D.C. Humanities to document and express the importance of the Friday night jazz concerts at the church in the modern landscape of the D.C. jazz scene- Served as contributing writer for the Home Rule Foundation-produced documentary short on Black Fire Records, providing directors and interviewers with questions, background information and guests- Helped launch the inaugural Home Rule Music Festival, a free all-day music festival that also saw the premiere of the documentary short: "Radio, Rhymes and Revolution: The Black Fire Story"
