About Jackson Steiner
I am currently an Area Manager at General Dynamics NASSCO part of the ship/project management team for our ship yard’s Repair Department. Our team manages repair availabilities for the US Navy. I am responsible for overall schedule, cost, performance, and safety of our production team in my assigned areas on board each vessel I am assigned.Prior to area manager I was a part of NASSCO’s Professional Development Program (PDP) where I rotated through the entire yard learning from all of the various departments.I graduated the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 2021 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Transportation and Logistics. I also received my USCG Unlimited Tonnage Third Mate’s license as well as a commission in the Naval reserves.

Completed a virtual internship with the Institute of World Politics due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The internship consisted of attending one Master's level Geographical Political Strategy course for two weeks, meeting with Senior Vice President CAPT Dean Lane (Ret. USN), President and founder of IWP Dr. Lenczowski, and also met with Mr. Brian Lane for a Q&A regarding the Civil Maritime Intelligence Community. Additionally, I was tasked with completing a Cyber Security case study presentation in conjunction with CAPT Lane's Cyber Intelligence Initiative at IWP. Mr. Karl Georgi, a senior advisor at IWP helped guide me through my case study and perfect my presentation.
