Jackson Hart (he/him) has over a decade of experience in project management, program design, and proposal writing for nonprofits and international development organizations, with a focus on agri-food system projects for underserved rural producers. He has a proven track record in designing, launching, and implementing multi-agency projects in sustainable agriculture, rural development, food security, small business, technology, and public health.With a Bachelor's degree from UC Santa Cruz (2012) and a Master’s from Cornell University (2022), Jackson has partnered with leading institutions including Cornell University, the UN-FAO, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, United Way, AmeriCorps, and Peace Corps as well as a myriad of local grassroots organizations. His diverse skill set allows him to facilitate complex problem-solving across sectors, with recognized expertise in partnership development, multi-agency project management, public speaking, scientific translation, proposal writing. Through collective efforts, he has successfully secured $4.7 million in grant funding through strategic proposal development and collaborative partnerships.Most recently, Jackson has been:1. The lead grant and project manager for the pre-launch and launch of a $2.5M statewide project funded by USDA-FSA to improve the cultural inclusivity of agriculture and ag-business technical assistance services in Hawai'i 2. Lead concept designer of Hawai'i's third-largest agricultural park, preparing it for launch in the winter of 20243. Steering Committee Member for the Hawai'i Good Food Alliance - Regional Food Business Center project (Funded by USDA), working with agri-food system nonprofit and business leaders across the state to design the three year rollout of $5M to improve post-harvest efficiency for underserved ag-business owners.
