I am an aerospace systems engineer and graduate engineering student at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), pursuing a M.S. in mechanical engineering with a concentration in dynamics and controls. My interests in aerospace engineering lie in the boundless potential that the space domain has to offer and our pivotal next steps in ensuring its preservation and use for the betterment of humankind. I genuinely enjoy all fields of engineering, with their fascinating intersection of creative and technical thinking. I bring to the table an early career background in systems engineering efforts surrounding the next-generation control segment of the Global Positioning System, GPS OCX, as well as crucial exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering, Cameo Systems Modeler, and agile methodologies. As an undergraduate, I had the great opportunity to work in two funded research positions at UCCS. One of which was through a University Research Academy (URA) grant and entailed space mission-focused robotics with the development and physical prototyping of a novel Mars rover suspension utilizing a decoupled axis system. The other allowed me to take a pioneering role in the revolutionary topic of Space Domain Awareness (SDA), as I contributed to the early construction of a common framework for SDA that addresses the joining of space systems engineering and cybersecurity. Concluding my Bachelor's Degree, I was honored to have received Summa Cum Laude and President’s List recognition, and I hope to earn the opportunity to pursue the same level of excellence wherever life and my career take me. I firmly believe in and take steps to uphold values of work ethic, authenticity, attention to detail, and respect for others and their ideas. In being mindful of my efforts as a practicing engineer, I strive to contribute to and foster designs that build a world that gives voice to the unique abilities of each and every individual, without which we cannot hope to realize our potential.
