• 100 terabyte scale - Used Linux tools to debug countless out-of-memory errors related to long running, multi-day jobs on a 20+ node on-premises cluster
• Cluster migration - Ported the application to run on Cloudera’s Hadoop distribution from an existing MapR implementation; rewrote I/O interactions for much of the pipeline application
• Security - Rolled an access control mechanism including row-level security based on Active Directory group membership - Utilized LDAP + Kerberos and standard UNIX permissions on the cluster - Discovered vulnerabilities.
