When I arrived at Clemson University, I had many opportunities to get involved in various organizations and explore my interests. I didn't know exactly what career path to pursue, so I decided to explore my interests. In my freshman year, I joined the Clemson Sailing Club and became the parent relations officer, which involved maintaining relationships with students' parents and sending out monthly newsletters. After a year, I branched out and took a job at IPTAY, Clemson's athletic fundraising organization and one of the largest in the country. At IPTAY, I gained experience in cold calling and managing relationships with donors, applying what I learned in class to a real job. This role encouraged me to join the IPTAY Student Advisory Board for my junior year. ISAB has improved my teamwork and leadership as we all work together to promote IPTAY. I am privileged to have access to all of these unique opportunities, and I have learned so much from each of them. I am looking forward to applying the skills I have learned so far to my new role as Treasurer of the Clemson Sailing Club and opportunities in the future.
