Served as Infrastructure Implementation Coordinator for Governor Edwards, coordinating across state agencies, liaising with the White House, federal agencies, local governments, and other relevant stakeholders to advance state priorities and maximize benefits of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act to Louisiana.Provided policy analysis to Governor Edwards to recommend executive actions in various areas and to inform his decisions on bills, especially those related to housing, elections and voting.

Tracked and analyzed hundreds of bills during legislative sessions, developed data systems to enable efficient and accurate bill review before, during, and after legislative sessions. Developed and implemented legislative and administrative policy agenda drafting processes for internal and external stakeholders for legislative sessions.Wrote research memoranda and briefs for Policy Director, Special Counsel, and Governor on a variety of topics and with expectation of rapid response.

Worked under Special Counsel and with Policy Advisors to Governor John Bel Edwards of Louisiana to craft and implement statewide policies related to justice and education.

Developed protocols for data collection and analysis as part of school leadership team, ensured data quality across multiple school and network student data systems, and coordinated major assessments at Cameron, a LEAD Public School. Led professional development and coached teachers on use of data for instruction.

Member of founding faculty and administration of Cameron College Prep, the first zoned charter school in Tennessee and a LEAD Public School. Instructed and assessed students with an emphasis on student achievement toward an eventual college degree.

Selected from approximately 35,000 applicants nationwide to join national teacher corps of recent college graduates who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools. Participated in intensive training program to develop the skills and knowledge needed to achieve significant gains in student achievement. Taught in a summer school program run by TFA for students in Mississippi Delta schools under the supervision of a faculty of experienced teachers. Engaged in a full schedule of professional development activities, including seminars, discussion groups, workshops, individual and group reflections, readings, and ‘learning teams’ specific to my teaching license area.
