Filmmaker, writer, and broadcaster focusing the majority of his work on the subcultures around him. He's spent the better part of 25 years documenting independent arts and culture movements wherever he's been based. For the last 15-plus years that's been Beirut, covering independent cultural, political, and musical trends in the Arab world. Currently, Jackson is based in his hometown of Houston, Texas and is pivoting a lot of his own personal work on passion projects like the online radio station he formed in 2024, and the podcast This Diaspora Life about the Armenian Diaspora that he began in Beirut with writer/host/creator Angela Brussel in 2021. In addition, he is doing deep dives into the musical subcultures that are thriving in Houston, while at the same time he continues to document the ongoing healthcare work and advocacy with his ageing father - surfing the landmines of the for-profit healthcare industry as it relates to the country's elderly population - a story that mirrors the profit-driven motives in all sectors of life in the US; things that have come to define the USA and what can only be described as the unfolding death of an empire.
