I am a 3rd year biochemistry major studying at Cal Poly, SLO. I love all things medicine related; as a result, I've become very involved in research, specifically as a research intern at the Salk Institute where I studied cancer in Dr. Hargreaves's lab. I'm also involved in research at Cal Poly in Dr. Yep's lab where we are developing a novel UTI drug targeted at gram-negative (antibiotic resistant) E. coli. Following my undergraduate degree I plan to pursue either an MD or a PhD.
