About Jackson Fields

Jackson Fields is a Senior Software Engineer at Riot Games. He possess expertise in c#, programming, game development, software development, c++ and 14 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "At Microsoft, Jackson was my engineering counterpart for bringing Unreal Engine support to HoloLens 2. He’s the type of engineer any product manager would be lucky to partner with- possessing deep technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and a work ethic you can count on to deliver. Through his dependability and the quality of his work, Jackson earned the trust and respect of our partners at Epic Games and became a cornerstone of the partnership between Epic Games and Microsoft. One of our partners once commented to me that he considered Jackson to be an example of “the best that Microsoft has to offer.” I’d work with Jackson again in a heartbeat, and really anyone would be lucky to have him on their team!", "I don't even know where to begin. I'm convinced Jackson can do absolutely anything in code and execute it exceptionally and efficiently. I don't say this lightly. He's a wizard at diagnosing gnarly bugs that elude others. It can be deep in the bowels of another company's code that he's never seen before and that's not going to stop him from finding it, making it reproducible, validating a fix, and always eager to help all involved improve the entire stack for everyone's benefit. His mastery of the entire graphics and input pipelines between devices, OS platforms, OpenXR bridges, and engines is astounding. If he finds a relevant capability on Unity, step back. In short order he will have made it work with Unreal even if it means re-writing all the code. He'll even report any bugs he finds in that process back to the original author on the Unity side to make sure they benefit. Jackson thrives on insanely complex challenges. I can't imagine him even being satisfied if a task is not nearly impossible. He's one of the few people where I can honestly say I always want Jackson on my team no matter what I'm doing or where I am. If I start another company, he'll be one of the first calls! - Hoff", and "Jackson was a first class partner for UE as our engineering counterpart on the Hololens side. It's rare to find engineers with UE proficiency of someone who could work at Epic, but Jackson is one. He'd find issues, suggest fixes, provide sample feature implementations, and most importantly, understand our technical constraints for why we could or could not accept code. On top of that, Jackson is an excellent and consistent communicator, affable, and always looking to provide the best experience for our mutual customers. I'd bring Jackson into any team with full confidence that he'd contribute significant impact."

Listed skills include C#, Programming, Game Development, Software Development, and 15 others.
