Work within the Plastics Engineering and Technology group at Jabil Healthcare where we focus on research and development, global quoting, and global triage. Throughout my career here I have primarily focused on R&D through innovation and development of new products and capabilities. I manage projects using techniques of injection molding, micro-molding, liquid silicone molding, over-molding of electronics, and 3D printing (to name a few). Often add value from a design standpoint with the creation of 2D/3D models but also tend to manage programs by taking charge of scheduling, cost analytics, RFQs / POs, documentation, and quality control.Aside from R&D, I assist my colleagues with global quoting on a regular basis. Seen as the SolidWorks SME, Excel SME, and polymer material SME of the group I have been able to lean on my skills to assist in the organization and automation of quotes to improve efficiency.

After graduating with my Bachelor's Degrees in Plastics Engineering and Mathematics, I began working at Jabil Healthcare. Within the first three months, I was given the option to return to school (full-time) to complete my Master's Degree in one academic year or to continue to work in the field. I counter-offered by asking if I could continue to work as I pursued my Master's Degree at night. On my two-year work anniversary, I achieved my goal and graduated with a GPA of 4.0 to obtain my Master's Degree in Plastics Engineering with a concentration in mold design.

In high school, I was given a foundation for my learning and leadership skills, but it was not until I was a student at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell that I was able to truly use what I had learned and exceled. I have absolutely no regrets with my decision to attend this incredible university and I will always be thankful for the opportunities it has given me and the doors that were opened because of what I had accomplished. To this day, I fully believed that it is because of my time here at UML that I will be "Work Ready, Life Ready, World Ready."

I started tutoring underclassmen in AP Calculus at the beginning of my senior year in high school.From that point forward, I had continued to teach students from local schools in the area in order to improve my skills and teaching abilities as well as to help others to succeed. Up until the end of June 2016, I had given lessons in AP Calculus, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, and SAT Prep.

Andover, Massachusetts

Working at Vicor Corporation out of Andover, MA was an incredible opportunity. In my studies, up to the point of accepting the position at Vicor, I had not had the chance to excel in SolidWorks or any 3D modeling for that matter. At school, and at AptarCary, I did get to use the software but my knowledge was very limited. I knew it was a very important tool missing from my repertoire so I took it upon myself to find a co-op where SolidWorks was the key focus. At Vicor, one of my main roles was to keep track of the components within the Vicor parts database which meant I had to create, delete, and edit components on a daily basis. New component requests would show up on my desk every day with information about the component and from where it would be purchased. Then, using the 2D drawings from the suppliers, I would create a 3D model and store it in the library so that Engineers could use them in their SolidWorks assemblies. Aside from the upkeep, I was given the chance to design and 3D-print multiple apparatuses for the testing facility on site and saved company thousands in damages. I also held meetings with engineers on a regular basis to work on design projects for other departments.

Cary, Il

I was given the opportunity to spend a couple of months out in Cary, IL working for AptarGroup Incorporation. There, I was given the position of Mold Manufacturing/Engineering Intern. While working, I was able to hone my skills in SolidWorks, MoldEx 3D, MoldEx Viewer, and MoldFlow. With the ability to use such software, I was given multiple projects to work on. The major and most important of them all was when I was assigned to work on an unbalanced cold runner mold where I was given the task to balance the runner and make it run more efficiently. Therefore, I modeled the original runner system in SolidWorks and modified it multiple times in order to increase efficiency of the fill times. I then used MoldEx 3D to analyze fill, pack, cooling, and warpage simulations for each iteration of the I designed. After a couple of simulations, I manage to find the best results and was given permission and finances to send the mold to an outside contractor to be altered to the new dimensions. As a result, the mold is significantly more efficient and produces a higher quality part with less chaotic of parameters for the process engineers to deal with.I also got to performed projects for the Process Engineering Department where I created a mold clamp comparison test and learned more about CAD and cost effectiveness.

Revere Beach State Park

As a responsible and alert lifeguard, I had worked full-time at Revere Beach for a total of four summers. Using my skills in CPR/AED and first aid, I managed the safety and protection of the patrons of this amazing state park.I performed well under pressure and developed strong communication and leaderships skills. At the end of my last summer, my hard-work and dedication were rewarded and I was offered the head guard position for the following summer, though I had to decline due to the desire to pursue positions in my intended field.

At a very you age I became a youth soccer referee, I handled three to five games each week and was responsible for the safety of each of the players. I was always punctual and performed to the best of my ability and certainly learned many leadership and communication skills while out there on the field.
