As an internal claims representative and adjuster I am responsible with opening, handling, and closing claims for our clients at the Hartford. Working for a company that has been around for over 200 years has given me great insight into the business world and the intricacies of the insurance industry

As a program assistant I am responsible for the performance of several departments at the fitness complex. I schedule the employees, assign the employees to specific tasks during their shifts, and handle any internal issues that may arise with the facility.

As a claims intern I was responsible for handling internal claims within the Hartford as well as dealing with customer concerns, arbitration, litigation, and injuries suffered by individuals who were members of the Hartford. There was an opportunity to job shadow many different departments within the company which allowed for me to learn more about the insurance industry as a whole. While employed here I also attained my Connecticut insurance license to become a licensed claim adjuster.

As a sales associate at the Republic of Couture I was responsible for meeting daily sales goals when I was on shift. I also had to make sure that the store was in a presentable manner for customers who came into the store. The most beneficial part of the job that it allowed me to develop better customer service skills.

Working in the kitchen at Mellow Mushroom was a high stress job but it allowed me to gain skills in the areas of time management and multitasking. I usually worked during the prime dinner shifts when we would be swamped with orders and having to make food, get it out in time, and make sure it was to the customers satisfaction was an intense job and very beneficial to my career capital.
