As a Community Engagement Coordinator for Missourians for Responsible Transportation (MRT), I assist rural communities in identifying and addressing their transportation needs. My position involved working as part of a team to act as the liaison of the International Headquarters of Alpha Sigma Phi to connect with individual university chapters. As a travel coordinator of development that worked with eleven chapters in six states, I aimed to build strong connections, foster ideas for strong development practices, and ensure that my groups follow proper risk management procedures. My focus on service and philanthropy allowed me to identify opportunities for chapters I engaged with to develop a relationship with the community beyond the fraternity, in line with the fraternity's values.

At The Historian, a national academic history journal, I provided insight on many facets of office management and editorial experience. As a senior editorial assistant, I revised academic book reviews for publication by communicating with professors worldwide, while also delegating office tasks to junior staff members. I cooperated with other staff members to manage all aspects of the book review section of the journal. Furthermore, I was employed as a 2016 summer full-time staff member with three other students to run the book review section of the journal during students' summer break.

I served as a call center employee that reached out to Ohio Wesleyan University Alumni in order to support the Annual Fund, while also connecting alumni to the institution. I generated over $30,000 for general university operations and reconnected alumni with the institution.

For eight weeks in the summer of 2015, I served as the Visitor Use/Curatorial Assistant Intern at Herbert Hoover’s presidential summer retreat, the Rapidan Camp in Shenandoah National Park, as part of an AmeriCorps internship program through the Student Conservation Association. I worked directly under Kandace Muller, the Museum Specialist for Shenandoah National Park, to be the single individual responsible for presenting the Rapidan Camp to park visitors. Throughout my internship, approximately 50% of my responsibilities included facilitating visitors that hiked in to the camp, mainly by providing interpretive programs for the main presidential home of Herbert and Lou Henry Hoover, the Brown House. Another 25% of my position required me to assist with ranger-led programs, which would take scheduled groups on walkthroughs of the entire camp. The final 25% consisted of the behind-the-scenes maintenance and curatorial work required to keep the camp appearing historically accurate and not overtaken by the surrounding nature. Not only did I learn valuable skills working with people, but I also learned how to live alone and operate with minimal supervision.
