Helping with resolving critical security vulnerabilities with Java libraries. Also assisting with implementation architecture for ongoing products and services.

I'm a hands-on architect who manages infrastructure and technologies tools and assists in application architecture, deployment, and design for the Microservices team. In addition to this, I work with a number of different teams to ensure consistent strategies are being applied to how we develop, build, and test. Responsible for designated aspects of architecture and implementation used to power Edmunds.com website. Helped create Android applications utilizing OCR and NFC technologies. Created Asynchronous generic Job Processing Framework to handle complex, and resource intensive task using J2EE, Hibernate, and JBOSS.Managed project to convert company’s full code base to a layered architecture approach utilizing an EAR for packaging purposes and Apache Maven as the build engine. Defined and implemented company’s security vision. Created documentation to evangelize the message on how security in the software would be implemented. Extended the functionality of the Acegi/Spring Security Framework.

Served as point man for middleware integration. Designed JMS wrapper to facilitate easy integration for application development. Architected and deployed company-wide fault-tolerant messaging solution that saved company 100k. Created JMX service that provided detailed information about existing messaging components. Administered MQSeries infrastructure for Unix and Windows.Redesigned and implemented back office application that allows Vehicle Specialist and Finance Managers to view customer information, capture data, and get bank decisions from multiple lenders.Redesigned and developed “Credit Bureau” system that allows users to retrieve credit reports from multiple credit bureau agencies.

Responsible for designing and developing highly scalable Web Services to interface with business partners over the Internet and assess and make recommendations on current EJB architecture.

Worked with Suzuki infrastructure team to design new components for Java applications running on Websphere and utilizing MQSeries on the AS400

Worked with Infrastructure Team to create a component based architecture for an online data broker using J2EE technologies.

Worked with the Application Server Team and the Systems Management Team, to create Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs) and Management Beans (Mbeans) using LDAP enabled technologies and J2EE.

Worked with the Java Development team on web oriented java applications. Built a Mail system for web portals in java utilizing Servlets. Developed a bulletin board system using RMI.

Worked with the electronic commerce (ecommerce) team on transaction-oriented applications for the web. Used Corba clients to interface to a Corba based credit card system that could be accessed via the web. Developed programs in java utilizing Servlet technology.

Served in a multitude of roles ranging from main developer to project lead. During that time I built C++ and Java applications that accessed backend systems such as MQSeries, VSE/ESA, AS/400, and CICS.
