Design is just as much, if not more, about ideation as it is aesthetic. Throughout my career, I have worked on teams that specialize in user experience, strategy, communications and/or marketing. However, the foundation of my design experience is in art as a skill — I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) focused in Graphic Design.Since earning that degree, I have worked in roles that were based in design production through various mediums ranging from brand identity, print design, digital/web design, to design system implementation. Although, Adobe Creative Suite and Figma are my primary tools of creation; whiteboards are my favorite tool by far. Design can be the solution to many problems, however, using tools like ethnography, journey mapping, and rapid prototyping are destined to make lasting solutions. In order to expand my knowledge and practice in Design Thinking tools like these; I am pursuing a Masters Degree in Design Management and Communications at Georgetown University.
