ResaleAI is an operations management SaaS that modernizes and simplifies retail store operations for >600 resale stores across the US and Canada. Each day,10k+ retail store employees look to ResaleAI to know what to do next.ResaleAI was launched as we productized the internal tools we built to help run the retail operations of L2M, which owns multiple Plato’s Closet locations. We now have over 600 customers and a <1% churn rate. I built the initial versions of the product and hired a team to focus on development as my work focused on product management and business operations. Features include an intuitive reporting system, 360 views of customers, automated check-in (e.g. waiver signing, identify verification, item dropoff), and real-time inventory sync for POS and Shopify. During COVID lockdowns I spearheaded delivery of features to help our clients transition to online sales, including tools to expedite adding new products to online inventory. We have a world-class customer service organization that offers chat support at <90 second avg response time, and our word-of-mouth referrals and peer-testimonials have enabled us to have success with no sales team.

L2M owns and operates three Nashville area franchise locations of the Plato’s Closet gently used clothing retail chain. In 2013 I joined the business to help lead a turnaround, and we grew staff to 100 team members as we consistently grew top and bottom line for six straight years. While in this role I developed the tools that would later be productized as ResaleAI.

Bizen was a startup that built a cloud-based analytics product for multi-unit operators to view real-time operational metrics, targeting multi-unit operators of franchises, restaurants, and retail stores. We raised angel funding, participated in the Jumpstart Foundry’s accelerator program, and hired a small team.The product was built on a stack that included Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, C#, Heroku, and AWS, with integrations to multiple POS systems (e.g. Aloha, Micros, Positouch, RestaurantManager, DRS).

BorderJump was a startup focused on providing integration solutions for retailers, shipping partners, and international payment companies to enable overseas sales. In this role I was Development Lead on a Django web application with integrations to Pitney Bowes, DHL, FedEx, etc.

Developed a content analytics tool for bloggers. Was featured in the DemoPit at TechCrunch 50 2008. Eventually shut it down due to lack of traction.

The Janis Group is a leading technology and management consulting firm specialized in business process improvement, systems implementation/integration, business intelligence, and reporting strategies. In this role I provided BI advisory to corporate clients that included Bed Bath and Beyond, Goya Foods, Ratner Inc., Gannet, and Catholic Hospitals. My work was focused on identifying requirements with senior management and C-suite, developing executive dashboards using Lawson tools, and building Java-based ETL systems.
