Being on Student Staff carries all the roles as a volunteer Young Life leader, with the additional tasks of being a team leader, which includes caring for the individuals on my team, setting them up well to lead and planning our weekly gatherings with high school students. I also attend weekly staff meetings in which we plan future area events, and learn more about full time Young Life Staff. I have also had the task of fundraising my personal salary and organizing and running a local disc golf fundraiser.

I worked with a team to craft and serve specialty coffee. I developed communication skills interacting with customers and coworkers. Also I developed experience working in a detail oriented and fast paced work environment. This experience helped me develop a liking to the food and beverage industry and would like to apply that to work as a chemical engineer.
