I am a Research Assistant at the Perception, Cognition and Control Lab at Brigham Young University, where I experiment with the ability of Large Language Models to simulate real people using Silicon Sampling. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics, with a keen interest in the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and social sciences. I have developed core competencies in data visualization, Python programming, and openai API.As a Research Assistant, I conduct research to assess the efficacy of LLM generated microtargeted political messages, and interface with ChatGPT through openai API within the Python ecosystem. I collect, analyze, visualize, and present resulting data, using various tools and frameworks. I enjoy working with a team of passionate and innovative researchers, who share a common vision of advancing the understanding of human behavior and communication. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the development of ethical and responsible applications of AI. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have also been involved in youth counseling and swim instruction, where I developed skills in communication and leadership.
