Led and transformed the Global Marketing organization that rebranded, repositioned, and successfully helped drive growth from $2B to over $6B during my tenure. Through rebranding and focus on enterprise awareness including brand-to-demand campaigns, became one of the most trusted brands in enterprise IT. Most importantly, became the top vendor for enterprise CIOs strategic vendor list based on Gartner's annual CIO survey. Was an early leader to bring in the notion of defined, recognized and rewarded cultural values for the Global Marketing Organization, which became the blueprint of the rollout for the company's cultural values a year later.

Borland was a leader in software development and application lifecycle management solutions. Brought in as CMO and SVP of Corporate Strategy to help reposition company from software development tools to an Open Application Lifecycle Management platform company. This strategic move changed how the industry was viewed with analyst firms following our direction, to the point that Open ALM became an industry term. While CMO, I was also asked to take over and transform all of R&D for the company to improve quality processes, and bring in new approaches to innovation. Performed this role for 1 year before we hired a full-time Chief Product Officer.

Was originally brought into BEA as head of Product Marketing, and then was continuously promoted into the Head of Global Marketing overseeing all marketing functions. During my tenure, we created the category of Application Platform Suites by combining multiple product lines (application server, integration broker, portal server) into a single platform. Led the Gartner MQ for this new category, as well as in every component product line that formed the platform, which was a dramatic turnaround for the company's position and unlocked the next wave of revenue growth.

NetGravity was the pioneer in online advertising and marketing solutions for the top trafficked websites. The company eventually merged with DoubleClick in 1999.
