Develops, implements, and coordinates product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Duties:* Develops initial and subsequent modifications of QA program to determine areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures* Ensures, with Department Managers & or Supervisors, that all hand tools; measurement devices and applicable equipment have been calibrated* Dispositions returned or nonconforming product* Review NCP (Non-Conforming Product) log and dispositions* Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions* Reviews technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay current with technical developments in industry* Works with other management personnel to develop company policies, procedures and set goals.* Conducts Customer tours of facility as required * Completes Customer surveys as required* Coordinates compliance to UL requirements* Manages Quality Control Supervisor

• Provide customer Design for Manufacturing Assessment (DFMA) and applications engineering support, pre-design stage through post production analysis and yield history while resolving complex technical problems with new engineering principles• Manage and direct CAM tooling and pre-production engineering staff in creation of tooling, work statements and sequencing of events• Internal engineering technical support for design and customer specification requirements• MRB participation, CAR response/implementation and RMA justification• Successfully managed project to migrate all tooling and manufacturing process flows to new operating system, both hardware and software• Mentored staff members on communication methods to facilitate deviation request acceptance for manufacturing issues• Traveled to customer site for DFMA presentations, technical support and training• Achieved positive results meeting production goals and expectations
