I am a recent Master of Information Systems Management graduate from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. Working toward my degree helped me learn how to be an effective communicator and a team player. I learned the basics of web and mobile development, data security, AWS cloud services, database management, and more. These experiences helped lay a solid foundation for professional work.Outside of school, I looked for internship opportunities to gain true experience as a software engineer. My positions at BambooHR and Vivint allowed me to contribute meaningful features to existing code bases. I also learned how to work on a team in fast-paced development environments. Now that I am graduated, I am looking to build on my experience and launch my career with a promising software engineering role. I am primarily interested in iOS and web development, but open to any opportunity. To keep up on my skills, I have continued working with Periscope Systems, leading a team of 5 people in building out our existing mobile app, AWS architecture, and hardware. In my role, I have learned how to leverage AWS services I had never used before to create an efficient and cost-effective backend. I've also been able to learn Dart through the Flutter framework and continue to develop my Swift and SwiftUI skills.
