Hi there! My name is Jack Tanner and I am from Oak Park, Illinois. I graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in May of 2021 and I am continuing my education studying aerospace engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.Currently, I work for Texas Rocket Engineering Lab (TREL) as a Fins Manufacturing Engineer as well as serving the role of Outreach Coordinator. I also work in Texas Inventionworks, UT's primary makerspace for students to use machines like 3D printers, laser cutters, manual mills and lathes, and so much more.I am an Eagle Scout, so I am very passionate about community service and volunteer work. My charity campaign, "A Step in the Right Direction," wrapped up in April 2021 after a buddy of mine and I walked 115,000 steps in a day to raise over $15,000 for local mental health organizations. I am a strong and empathetic leader, a dedicated worker, and a great conversationalist. I am currently searching for internship and co-op positions for the summer of 2023.
