I am a graduate from Arizona State University with a passion for code. As a sixth-grader, I accidentally stumbled upon "Codecademy". Fascinated by the power that single lines of code could create, I used the site to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, then used those languages to build my own rendition of my favorite online game "Cookie Clicker". Throughout middle and high school I found new passions in game development, the many applications of Python, and discovering ways coding could make homework in many of my classes easier to finish. I competed in three consecutive Ludum Dare game-jams with friends from my school, with our best entry scoring in the top 4%, and started a new programming club at my school so that other kids could find their own passions in computer science.As a graduate of the Computer Science program at ASU I am focusing my time on working to building a broader range of procedural, object-oriented, and functional languages to my repertoire, while actively seeking out opportunities to apply my skills in data science, neural networks, and high-level programming. Currently, I work as a Teacher's Assistant at 2U and the University of Texas at Austin's data science boot camp. Every class day I taught our students the fundamental computer science skills I am most passionate about, specifically in data science and web development.I really, really like what I do, and I plan to bring that energy to whatever opportunities I find interesting as they present themselves.
