Working for one of the largest UK hospitality agencies, my primary focus is to provide excellent customer service as well as learn to handle working in a high-stress environment.The key skills gained include:• Leadership – Manage and coordinate teams of up to 10 during high-profile events. Most notable was the PWC partner dinner where my serviceearned me personal thanks from the client.• Communication Skills – Before service begins, I brief the team on what to expect and exactly what we are doing. This way everyone is on the samepage.• Multitasking – Balancing food preferences and allergies whilst keeping a line of communication between management and my team has made mecapable of juggling multiple tasks.• Customer Service – I have 11 personal commendations from clients.

Took the opportunity to work outside in a social environment whilst taking on a completely different type of problems to solve.The key skills gained include:• Problem-solving – Completed over 40 installations, the largest being 180 solar panels on Watford town hall. Each installation presented its own set ofunique challenges and whether logistical or planning-related, I helped to solve them.• Project management – On large jobs, my team and I would dedicate hours towards planning and understanding how we can eliminate errors that might cost the company tens of thousands.

During secondary school, I was a bartender working at one of Young’s highest-turnover pubs in London.The key skills gained include:• Organizational skills – Helped plan quiz nights, one of the biggest sources of revenue for the pub, often bringing in over £5000 extra in revenue onWednesdays.• Teamwork – During busy nights there were up to eight of us cramped behind the bar. Over time I learned best how to work alongside my colleaguesto be as efficient as possible.

As part of my bronze DofE award I was set the task of volunteering for at least 3 months. As a confident and energetic teenager I wanted to try a customer facing role and so I saw fit to work for the charity shop. My role was to ensure the shop floor was properly stocked as well as handling transactions behind the till. This built the foundations of the customer service expertise
