It all started one dark and rain day when Windows 95 blue screened for the last time. In a brazen huff, I screamed to the heavens, "There has to be an alternative!"Said alternative was Linux. I started using Linux as my primary OS in '96. Since '99 I've been covering open source and Linux for Techrepublic. From then to now, I've added a host of other topics to my palette and and am now covering the likes of Android, containers, cloud, security, networking, and more.You can find my work on TechRepublic, The New Stack, and Linux New Media. I've also written for Linux.com, Lifehacker, Lifewire, O'Reilly, and a number of other publications.I am the proud author of over 40 novels of fiction (within the horror, thriller, superhero, paranormal, and romance genres).
