Conscientious and diligent graduate of The University of Exeter with a First Class Honours in Computer Science. I was also awarded the prestigous Dean's Commendation for academic excellence during my studies. My research focused on the emerging field of lightweight cryptography, particularly lightweight encryption primitives for resource-constrained devices. As part of my final year project I successfully designed, implemented, and tested a command line tool that implements a selection of such primitives.Currently working within a highly skilled Scrum team as a Software Engineer at Equiniti. Committed to creating high-quality software solutions for complex problems, my expertise lies in Java development. I am proficient in Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, Git, Docker, and have extensive experience in automated testing with Cucumber, ensuring the software I deliver meets the highest quality standards. A selection of projects I have been involved in include the implementation of the OAuth2 security protocol, the introduction of two-factor authentication for our member self-service website, Single Sign-On, and the analysis of data mining techniques to identify performance degradation in our Cucumber tests.In order to continue my professional development, I am currently undertaking a Masters course in becoming a Digital and Technology Specialist in Software Engineering, alongside my full time employment. This course will equip me with the skills and knowledge to become a highly effective digital leader, as well as progress my Software Engineering knowledge.
