At Root16 Tech Consulting, I have had the opportunity to work on several large-scale projects, leveraging my unique background to bridge gaps between technology and user experience. The transition from educating fifth graders to developing software might seem vast to some, but at their core, both require a nuanced understanding of learning processes—whether it's a child grappling with new concepts or a computer executing complex processes.My journey into the tech industry began with a deep-seated curiosity for software development, sparked by my experiences during the pivot to fully virtual classrooms amidst a global pandemic. The challenge of making technology more accessible and impactful in an educational setting led me down a path of exploration and, ultimately, to a decisive career change. Immersing myself in self-guided coursework and a structured coding bootcamp, I quickly discovered that the patience, planning, and problem-solving skills honed during my teaching years were invaluable assets. These skills, coupled with a fresh passion for coding, propelled me forward and soon led to my role at Root16 Tech Consulting.My teaching career, while fulfilling, subtly laid the groundwork for this profound shift in focus.
