My role was to help connect the city with its wonderful parks and green spaces working for the charitable trust, Urban Green Newcastle, that protects and maintains 400ha of green space across the city. I worked with the local authority, voluntary sector and community partners, individuals and businesses.Key achievements include:-Commissioning a landmark piece of public art for Exhibition Park in partnership with Tyne Housing. -Connecting over 1,500 children and young people across the city with the National Trust's Blossom Together campaign.-Providing 12 days of social action for 280 young people from across the city working with the National Citizen Service.-Expanding our community representation panel, Urban Green Connect, so that it is more diverse and representative of the city.
