Jacky has extensive successful experience in senior management of education, arts and libraries services, having run some of the best and most improved services in the country.In addition to 3 director posts in local authorities she has worked at a national level with the Department for Education, advising on policies on new schools and school improvement as well as working on policy implementation with local authorities in London, the West Midlands and the North East.She has played a significant role in the development of the academies programme, particularly sponsored academies, and of the free schools initiative. Jacky is currently winding down her work with DfE and is spending more time on voluntary activities and travelling. She is, however, interested in short term pieces of work related to her specialist areas.Outside the education work, she was Chairman of Bewdley Development Trust, a Community Interest Company, and is a Director of St George's Hall Venue Management.Specialities: Academies and free schools, Multi Academy Trusts, academy sponsorship, improving education standards, Local Authority development, service improvement and efficiency, governance.
