Dr Jacky Ting, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at PolyU, brings his expertise in digital transformation strategy, innovation, and emerging technology management to advise the department. With over 15 years of commercial and industrial experience, he has held positions such as Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Milton Exhibits Group, Digital Services Lead of Greater China Region at Cognizant Technology Solutions (HK) Limited, and AVP/Practice Leader in Digital Solutions at PCCW Solutions Limited.Dr Ting earned his PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence, Medical Informatics, and Data Mining from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 2011. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the title of ISE Distinguished Alumni in 2017 and became an Associate Fellow at PVCBS. Furthermore, Dr Ting has been serving as an award judge under OGCIO - The Government of the Hong Kong SAR for the HKICT Awards since 2021. In addition to that, he has been an esteemed judge for the international "Stevie Awards" since 2023. These roles allow him to contribute his expertise and knowledge in evaluating and recognizing outstanding achievements in the field of technology and innovation.With a strong focus on transformation strategy, digital systems (including AI, Big Data Analytics, Web3, Metaverse, NFT, Human Science/Design Thinking, Interactive Solutions, and IoT technologies), and agile development, Dr Ting possesses more than 15 years of experience in innovation, digital transformation, and business management.His contributions to the field have been widely recognized, earning him accolades such as the "Year of Project Manager 2023" and the "Silver Medal in International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2024." He has also been selected for inclusion in prestigious programs like the IoT Heroes Program 2016 and Marquis Who’s Who in the World® 2015. In addition, he received the Outstanding Youth ICT Achiever award in 2012. Dr. Ting has presented his ICT works and research outcomes in 12 international conferences and has published in more than 30 international refereed journals.
