As part of Kindle Store Experience team, Discovery team focuses on 2 major areas including Information Discovery and Merchandising Automation/Optimization. Our vision is to be a team that builds technology platforms that each dev team in Kindle could easily build new pages/pagelets on and dial up in Kindle Voltron store for all surfaces. The Discovery Team’s mission is to help customers find the things that best match their purchase intents/needs in Kindle Content Store across all surfaces. The team owns core features of Kindle Content Store WW:- Kindle Voltron framework: a online shopping framework built on Horizonte. The new generation of Kindle Content Store is built in this framework. - Bravo: one-stop service for Kindle merchandising team, product management team, and Kindle Store dev team to create and manage the campaigns scheduled to the merchandised page and feature doc pages in Kindle Voltron store.- Social Store in Kindle: integrate with Goodreads and other social network services to improve social experience in Kindle Store. - Voltron Merchandising Platform with Pluggability: Voltron Merchandising Platform is an extensible and COPE-based merchandising solution. - A Semantical Framework for the Orchestration and Choreography of Features in Kindle Store - Deal-o-matic plaftform for digital stores: allow the Kindle Store team to scale the Kindle deals program in a personalized and automated manner while improving the discoverability of savings offered on all Kindle eBooks.

Build and manage CBI SEE (Service Experience Excellence) team composing of 15 SDMs/SDEs and collaborate with TPM/designer to build cloud-based intelligent system running on massive unstructured/structured data to improve Amazon retail business and service quality. My team owns:- Selection Monitoring: Selection Monitoring program is to evaluate a variety of sources (including online competitors) to measure authoritative selection and identify the brands and products missing from the Amazon platform. - Lead Management System: BEACON is a new system supporting lead management work of Amazon retail team.- Vendor Qualification System: THEMIS is a vendor compliance management system developed by Amazon CN Tech team, which is to improve vendors’ quality in Amazon retail website and to reduce manual effort of retail vendor qualification inspection work. - Spotlight: Product Review Analysis- China Invoice System: China Invoice System (CIS) provides full functions to handle customer requests on invoice for both Amazon retail and 3P seller. At retail Web sites, CIS provides UI feature on SPC/YA pages to collect customer’s invoice request. At back-end, CIS builds integration with multiple internal/external systems to handle invoice request in process of FC Packing/Digital Order Delivery/C-Return. It provides tool for CS/FC/TAX to check detail of invoice usage by order, and print/deprecate invoice paper in single/batch mode. Additionally, it integrates with Seller Central to notify invoice request/change to 3P seller by order.

Beetle is a new intelligent mobile search engine to help end user to find, or recommend what he wants for according to search request submitted by user actively or by intent prediction. - Designed and developed Text Categorization Platform, a system based on Windows HPC and Cosmos to provide end-to-end text categorization service from data importing, indexing, training and testing. Text Categorization Platform provides end-to-end service to help user go through the whole lifecycle of text categorization without any coding effort and build a category gallery cross company or division.- Designed and leaded Microsoft Feedback Explorer (MFE) project, a robust reporting system to provide data collecting, importing, categorizing, and provide a service to multiple Product Groups and Services across Microsoft , deriving actionable knowledge from unstructured text and structured data, providing this knowledge to decision makers in easy to comprehend custom reports in real-time. As PM, coordinate with other teams located in US and communicate with CFM team and operation team ensure the detail and priority of release features and time line meet business requirement.- Designed, developed and leaded Opinion Search project. Opinion Search system is designed to automatically find the seed sites, crawl and extract opinion data from them. It does sentiment classification of the opinion data and calculates overall and feature ratings of each review and each entity. Additionally it also does the trend analysis to help users learn the change of popularity and satisfaction of product/service by time.

Tablet Map, one innovative research fruit from the Incubation Group, provides a gesture-based UI design to enhance the user experience for browsing, routing and navigating map on pen-based device. - Designed and leaded IBIS project. IBIS means Internet Broad Information Syndication. It is the next generation advertising syndication system. IBIS will allow both MS and ad publishers to efficiently monetize the MS IBIS network users and traffic. Additionally, the end users could enjoy the more satisfying information services from the ad publishing channel provided by IBIS platform.

Different kinds of information required by the process of GUI construction can be described by XML source codes in xGUItar. In runtime environment, the xGUItar Rendering Engine can load and interpret those codes, and construct the GUI presentation automatically based on one specific programming language or toolkit.- Design and develop PDF-based digital document SDK and visual developing environment.- Design and develop Periodic Report Acquisition and Management System for Listing Company. This system is developed for ShangHai Stock Exchange (SSE).
