Jack is a cross-functional leader who emphasizes leading people with purpose. After 16 years in the energy industry, Jack recently pivoted to a leadership role in a business focused on asset acquisition in the secondary mortgage market. He values a steep learning curve, a focus on continuous improvement, and remains passionate about understanding energy and its role in global society. Jack’s early career includes two years of field research as an expatriate in South Africa, having the responsibility for an international communications campaign at the United Nations in New York, as well as infrastructure planning for a national telecommunications data network. Since transitioning to the energy industry in 2006, Zedlitz has accumulated over 15 years of experience in sell side investment banking, corporate finance, corporate communications, operational planning, and oil and natural gas asset management experience. Prior to joining OU in 2020, he was accountable for the strategic planning, non-operated investment portfolio, and investor relations efforts for the Anadarko Basin and Powder River Basin assets at Devon Energy Corporation. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President of Osage Exploration and Development where he led corporate development and operational planning functions. Between his time and Devon Energy and Osage Exploration, Mr. Zedlitz was a partner and founder at Farallon Petroleum, which originated and sold a greenfield exploration project in Oklahoma.
